Q1. What do you enjoy most about working in HR?
“The variety, the challenge and the satisfaction of watching businesses and people grow and develop through the support of HR partnerships is incredibly rewarding. Throughout my career there have been many highlights however, a particular one has been developing and mentoring teams and see them grow, develop and go on to be very successful in their own right. “
Q2. What is the biggest challenge you face in providing HR solutions?
“At the moment, the biggest challenge is supporting small to medium businesses in finding and retaining key talent in a tight recruitment market.”
Q3. What is the biggest transformation you have seen from a business you worked with?
“The biggest transformation I’ve seen within a business is significantly reduced turnover and more productive and engaged teams. This was a result of role clarity, documented processes and a great communication strategy to keep employees informed and up to date on the business goals and how their efforts contribute to attaining them.”
Q4. What is one HR tip you would give any business owner?
“Make sure you make the time and resources to get a good understanding of the basics of employment law.”
